Engine Tune-Up

Classic Bikes

RMS can blueprint your classic Triumph from match weighing components to lightening and polishing internals. Cylinder heads can be ported to give the best flow available from current ports. I do not profess to be a cylinder head tuner as this involves adding material to inlet ports and flow testing to achieve best results. New valves and guides fitted including re-grinding valve seats. The head pictured is a T120.
When building engines I use Graphogen on all moving parts. This is a colloidal graphite paste that coats and protects moving parts on initial start up until oil pressure stabalises. It then disolves into the oil.

Servicing

All machines

From oil and filter change to valve clearances/shims. Pictured is the bevel drive gear that was replaced and set up on a Kawasaki W650. The black stuff you can see isn't me being a dirty so and so its Graphogen.

Brakes a bit iffy?

Let RMS overhaul them

Drum brakes can be improved ensuring you have good and correct contact from your shoes, that drums are true and not glazed and cables are good. I've also found on classic bikes that spacers within hubs have become butchered or missing altogether. Disc brakes suffer from dirty fluid, seized or partially seized callipers and collapsing brake lines. Let RMS overhaul your brake callipers and feel what its like to get your brakes back!! Ultrasonic Cleaning

Bike running like a 3 legged dog?
Could be your carbs need looking at!

RMS can clean your carbs or fit new floats, gaskets, jets etc. The best way to do this is to fully strip the carbs removing all jets and ultrasonically clean. Idealy your carbs should be set up when re-fitted. RMS carries this out using vacuum guages. The ones pictured are off a 1200 Bandit.
